Bulgaria is often perceived as a peripheral country in Europe. This is a mistake. Located at a strategic crossroads between East and West, it concentrates geopolitical, energy, and cultural tensions that far exceed its economic weight. Behind the image of a country still catching up lies a far more complex reality: that of a key territory in the reshaping of the XXIst century. Through a structured and accessible analysis, this book explores Bulgaria's strengths and vulnerabilities: historical legacies, power culture, energy dependencies, technological potential, soft power, and the role of the diaspora.
