Vichy Culture (1940-1944) : Théâtre d'intervention / Intervention theatre

EN: From the 1929 crash to the ruins of the Second World War, this piece of intervention theater deconstructs the trajectory of French intellectuals and writers faced with totalitarianism. Through a minimalist and striking stage setup, three allegorical figures bring to life the fierce debates between pacifism and commitment, the tragic choice between collaboration, the ordeal of silence, or global exile (from London to New York). By laying bare the machinery of underground publishing and the political fractures of the Liberation, this work sheds light on the memory and roots of our freedom of thought. An essential tool for raising awareness and historical deconstruction, specifically tailored for younger generations and high school students.
