1923, Mary Stuart and Ian Pervice return to the United States, bringing back with them the secrets of the Toltec people. 1931, Diana has fallen into a catatonic state after learning the truth. Betrayed and broken, she seems to have lost all will to live. Having been saved by Nalyx, the latter tries to bring her back to her senses, but without success. Meanwhile, at Imperfect’s headquarters, Eriko Adayama organizes a press conference to announce Ian Pervice’s heart attack, while he is still a candidate for the 1932 presidential nomination.
